Periodontal Disease is a form of gum disease that, if left untreated causes the loosening and eventual loss of teeth. Periodontal Disease is the result of a gum infection in which bacteria becomes trapped underneath your gums. These bacteria damage and destroy the bone which holds in your teeth.
